A group of college students park their asses in front of a campfire while taking a rest on their way to some music festival fracas and decide to have a scary story competition… but are they in a scary story themselves?
This is the basic premise behind the new arcane anthology Scare Me; a creepy collection that offers a nice bit of fright flick variety for vicious viewers that decide to go on it’s revoltin’ ride!
Speaking of variety, slap your putrid peepers on some of the frightful fun featured herein! Over the course of the film’s hour and forty-seven minute runtime (admittedly a tad long for yours cruelly who generally feels ninety minutes is the sweet spot for a jaunt into our beloved horror biz) we get; a boobs and blood, Franco-style Euro horror tale, the story of a radio revolutionary and the beast she must contend with, an urban vampire yarn, the tale of a leather ensconced gimp that is much more than they appear to be, a child dealing with a monster-in-the-closet scenario… and more!
With that kind of line-up you know there is going to be plenty of ghoulish good-times to be had with this one, and there surely is, and that isn’t even mentioning the wicked wrap-around and the strange goings-on involved there!
While the stories are fun, the acting and effects aren’t too shabby either… but, this is an independent affair made by folks who don’t have gobs of dough at their disposal, so don’t go gettin’ your monstrous minds all set on Hollywood level production gloss and glitz. That being said, there are some great shots in this film, and to my eerie eyeballs everyone involved did a solid job throughout!
Bottom line, Scare Me is a fun fright flick anthology that offers plenty of eerie entertainment! Give it a shot for your own damn self by checking it out right here!
