The coronavirus pandemic has delayed many films’ release, including Adam Robitel‘s Escape Room 2, originally set to open in theaters on December 30th. But you won’t have to wait long to see the sequel. Sony’s Columbia Pictures has just announced the new release date that is only a few days later.
Logan Miller and Taylor Russell will be returning for the sequel to Robitel’s 2019 hit film about a group of strangers that are trapped in a series of escape rooms filled with deadly traps. The movie picks up after Zoey (Russell) and Ben (Miller) survive the traps in the first film and swear to hunt down the people behind the deadly game.
Isabelle Fuhrman (Orphan), Indya Moore (“Pose”), Holland Roden (“Channel Zero: Butcher’s Block”), Thomas Cocquerel (“The 100”), and Carlito Olivero (“East Los High”) also star.
Escape Room 2 opens in theaters on January 1, 2021.
