From writer-director Christian Alvart (Antibodies, Pandorum) comes the dark German horror-thriller Cut Off, based on the best-selling novel by Sebastian Fitzek and Michael Tsokos.
Titled Abgeschnitten in its original language, the pulse-pounding film centers on Coroner Paul Herzfeld who discovers something terrifying, a capsule in the head of a heavily mutilated corpse, containing a phone number and single word: the name of his daughter who is missing. Paul finds himself to save his daughter from a serial killer on an island cut off from the mainland by a raging storm.
Moritz Bleibtreu leads the cast that includes Jasna Fritzi Bauer, Fahri Yardim, Enno Hesse, Christian Kuchenbuch, Urs Jucker, and Barbara Prakopenka.
Cut Off will receive an American release on digital platforms on July 3, 2020, from Dark Sky Films
