If you missed your chance to see DC’s short-lived “Swamp Thing” series, don’t fret. The show is coming to The CW in time for Halloween! Ahead of its arrival, a new trailer has been unleashed by The CW. Check it out below.
Produced by James Wan, the series based on the DC characters created by Len Wein and Bernie Wrightson stars Crystal Reed, Jennifer Beals, Virginia Madsen, Will Patton, Andy Bean, Ian Ziering, Kevin Durand, Henderson Wade, Jeryl Prescott and Maria Sten star in the series. Swamp Thing is played by Friday the 13th’s Derek Mears.
“Swamp Thing” centers on CDC researcher Abby Arcane (Reed). After returning to her childhood home of Houma, Louisiana, in order to investigate a deadly swamp-borne virus, she develops a relationship with scientist Alec Holland, only to have him tragically taken from her. But as powerful forces descend on Houma, intent on exploiting the swamp’s mysterious properties for their own purposes, Abby discovers that the swamp holds mystical secrets and that the potential love of her life may not be dead after all.
The series is written by Mark Verheiden (“Ash vs Evil Dead” and IT co-writer Gary Dauberman.
“Swamp Thing” premieres on The CW on Tuesday, October 6, 2020, followed by its arrival the next day on The CW app.
