Insidious star Patrick Wilson is returning for the fifth installment of the franchise, this time around not only will he star, but he will also be in the director’s chair! Insidious 5 will be Wilson’s directing debut which was announced during the BlumFest virtual event earlier today.
Insidious: Chapter 5 will pick up with the Lambert family ten years after the events of Insidious 4 with Dalton beginning college. Ty Simpkins who starred as Dalton will be reprising his role.
Scott Teems wrote the script based on a story by franchise creator Leigh Whannell.
Insidious 5 is expected to land in theaters in 2022.
