Like many films these days, it looks like Godzilla vs. King Kong will reportedly be bypassing theaters and heading straight to streaming platforms.
THR is reporting that Netflix is aiming to acquire the film, offering a staggering $200 million for the upcoming movie from Legendary Pictures. However, they aren’t the only ones after the property. But word is, Warner Bros. Media wants it to premiere exclusively on their HBO Max service.
The epic next chapter in the cinematic Monsterverse pits two of the greatest icons in motion picture history against one another – the fearsome Godzilla and the mighty Kong with humanity caught in the balance.
Alexander Skarsgård, Millie Bobby Brown, Eiza González, Jessica Henwick, Rebecca Hall, Lance Reddick, Kyle Chandler, Danai Gurira, Ziyi Zhang, and Julian Dennison star in Godzilla vs. Kong, directed by Adam Wingard, which is currently in post-production.
Godzilla vs. King Kong is set to premiere sometime in the spring of 2021, the question is where?
