The first batch of images is here from Sion Sono‘s action-horror movie Prisoners of the Ghostland which Nicolas Cage describes as the wildest film he’s ever starred in.

In the film, “When a notorious criminal, Hero (Cage) is sent to rescue an abducted girl who has disappeared into a dark supernatural universe, they must break the evil curse that binds them and escape the mysterious revenants that rule Ghostland.”

It’s out there. I wear a skintight black leather jumpsuit with grenades attached to different body parts, and if I don’t rescue the governor’s daughter from this state line where they’re all ghosts and bring her back they’re gonna blow me up.” Cage says.

The film is the English language feature debut for Suicide Club‘s Sono. Written by Aaron Hendry and Reza Sixo Safai, the film also stars Sofia Boutella (The Mummy), Ed Skrein (Deadpool), Bill Moseley (3 from Hell), Young Dais (The Outsider), and Tak Sakaguchi (Re: Born).
