The werewolf horror Bloodthirsty has scored a release date from Brainstorm Media following its world premiere at Fantastic Fest. Check out the new clip below.
The female-driven film centers on vegan singer-songwriter Grey (Lauren Beatty) who goes to work on her second album with the notorious music producer Vaughn Daniels (Greg Bryk). As the album progresses, Grey starts to transform into a powerful beast with a thirst for blood, meat, and the hunt.
Directed by Amelia Moses (Bleed with Me), the film was written by the mother-daughter duo Wendy Hill-Tout and Lowell, a singer-songwriter whose music is also featured on the film’s soundtrack.
Horror veteran Michael Ironside (Scanners, Total Recall) stars alongside Lauren Beatty (Bleed for Me, Jigsaw), Katherine King So (“Transplant”), Judith Buchan (Let Him Go), Greg Bryk (Saw V), and Jayce McKenzie (The Hive).
Wendy Hill-Tout and Michael Peterson produced with David Bond and Alan Bacchus executive producing.
Brainstorm Media will unleash Bloodthirsty in limited theaters and on VOD platforms on April 23, 2021.
