With Spiral: From the Book of Saw opening in theaters in just a few days, we’ve got something to whet your appetite, the first three minutes of the movie that sees a detective captures by a mysterious Jigsaw copycat decked out in a pig mask.
Spiral stars Chris Rock and Samuel L. Jackson (Snakes on A Plane), as well as Max Minghella (“The Handmaid’s Tale). Rock also executive produces the movie based on his idea. The Saw’s franchise’s Darren Lynn Bousman (Saw II, Saw III, Saw IV) has returned to direct.
In Spiral, a sadistic mastermind unleashes a twisted form of justice in the terrifying new chapter from the book of Saw Working in the shadow of an esteemed police veteran (Samuel L. Jackson), brash Detective Ezekiel “Zeke” Banks (Chris Rock) and his rookie partner (Max Minghella) take charge of a grisly investigation into murders that are eerily reminiscent of the city’s gruesome past. Unwittingly entrapped in a deepening mystery, Zeke finds himself at the center of the killer’s morbid game.
The Saw franchise’s Marl Burg and Oren Kohls return to produce the film written by Pete Goldfinger and Jigsaw’s Josh Stolberg. Chris Rock, Daniel Heffner, and James Wan and Leigh Whannell the original creators of the franchise, will executive produce.
