James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad will be different from 2016’s movie. For one, it won’t be PG-13 like its predecessor. The movie has just scored a hard “R” from the MPA for “Strong violence and gore, language throughout, some sexual references, drug use, and brief graphic nudity.”

The massive cast list includes Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Sylvester Stallone who lends his voice to King Shark, Viola Davis, Idris Elba, John Cena, Pete Davidson,  Jai Courtney, Nathan Fillion, Michael Rooker, Taika Waititi, Joel Kinnaman, David Dastmalchian, Daniela Melchior, Steve Agee, Storm Reid, Flula Borg, Peter Capaldi, Alice Braga, Sean Gunn, Joaquín Cosío, Mayling Ng, Juan Diego Botto, Julio Ruiz, Jennifer Holland, and Tinashe Kajese.

The Suicide Squad lands in theaters and on HBO Max on August 6, 2021, from Warner Bros. Check out the red band trailer below for a taste of what’s to come.
