“Awkward” actress Greer Grammer stars alongside “Sex and the City” actress Kristen Davis in the psychological thriller Deadly Illusions.
From writer-director Anna Elizabeth James, the film centers on a best-selling novelist (Davis) who is suffering from writer’s block. When she hires a young woman (Grammer) to watch over her twins. She appears to be a sweet innocent young woman, but looks can be deceiving. As the novelist finally begins to write again, the line between the life’s she’s been writing about and her own begins to blur.
Dermot Mulroney, who recently appeared in the series “Hanna” and “Prodigal Son” also stars along with Shanola Hampton of “Shameless.”
Director Anna Elizabeth James is known as a pioneer in the industry for her iPhone filmmaking and distribution methods and has been featured in Wired and The New York Times and has spoken at TEDx conferences.
Davis and Grammer produce Deadly Illusions which premiered on Netflix in March and arrives on iTunes, Amazon, Google Play, Vudu, Fandango Now, YouTube, Dish Network, and through local cable providers on June 1, 2021.
