Several sites are reporting that a third installment of the A Quiet Place franchise is already in the works, which seems to be true. The news comes just ahead of A Quiet Place II‘s Blu-ray release on July 27, 2021, after bringing in over $250 million at US box offices alone.
John Krasinski will be returning to direct, write and appear in the sequel, and recently spoke with Empire and appears to be onfirming the rumors.
Is it going to continue the Abbotts? Who knows!” No, I will tell you that it is… I’m really excited about the third installment because it’s going to do something that we haven’t done before.” He continues, “The ending of the last shot is, now that the world knows about [the signal that the creatures are vulnerable to], what will the world do with this answer, or with this weapon? Will they be responsible with it, or will they not be responsible with it?” Let’s hope we figure it out when A Quiet Place Part III, or whatever it may be called, hits theaters.
Star Emily Blunt is said to also be returning for the third along with other unnamed actors from part two.
A Quiet Place II is now playing in theaters and lands on Blu-ray later this month.
