Rob Zombie Shares Sketches From His Upcoming “The Munsters” Movie



Rob Zombie continues to share glimpses of his visions for his upcoming adaptation of “The Munsters,” based on the classic 1964 series of the same name. This time, Zombie shared a wardrobe sketch for Lily Munster, which will reportedly be played by Sherri Moon Zombie. In the sketch we see an elegant woman sporting a tattered black robe with spider web details.

Jeff Daniel Phillips, who is a Zombie movie regular, will play Herman. Daniel Roebuck and Richard Brake, also frequent fixtures in Zombie’s films, are also set to star along with Jorge Carcia (Lost) and Cassandra Peterson (aka Elvira).

The original series ran from 1064 to 1966 and was created by Ed Haas and Norm Liebmann. The series, both a satire of horror movies of the day and a wholesome family comedy, depicts a family of monsters as they lived out their lives. Fred Gwynne starred as Frankenstein’s monster, father, and husband Herman Munster. Yvonne De Carlo played Lily, the vampiric mother. Grandpa, an over-the-hill Dracula, was played by Al Lewis. Butch Patrick starred as the Munster’s young son, a werewolf named Eddie.
