We’ve got the new fright-filled trailer for Neill Blomkamp‘s highly-anticipated horror film, Demonic, in theaters this August.

From the director of District 9, Elysium, and Chappie, comes Demonic, in which “A young woman unleashes terrifying demons when supernatural forces at the root of a decades-old rift between mother and daughter are ruthlessly revealed in this horror-thriller.”.

Carly Pope (Elysium), Chris William Martin (The Age of Adaline, Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem, TV’s “The Vampire Diaries”), and Michael Rogers (TV’s “Siren”, “The Blacklist”, “Supernatural”) star in this supernatural horror.

Here’s a fun fact: The film uses a patent-pending new method of using volumetric capture (a three-dimensional video technology that turns actors into geometric objects.). The amount of volumetric capture in Demonic is the most ever used in a feature film to date.

IFC Midnight will release Demonic in theaters and On Demand and Digital on August 20, 2021.
