After the announcement trailer for the upcoming first-person adventure game BLACKTAIL fans have commented on the music heard in it and made it clear they wanted to hear more. Today developer THE PARASITE has released more information about the game’s soundtrack.
The game’s soundtrack will be composed by the award-winning composer Arkadiusz Reikowski who also composed the soundtrack for Layers of Fear 2, Blair Witch, and The Medium where he worked alongside legendary composer Akira Yamaoka.
Reilowski had this to say about what fans will be expecting to hear:
In BLACKTAIL, a combination of dreamlike, Slavic themes, and modern motifs is unheard of, and allows us to create something truly unique, something that has not been previously seen in the videogame industry. I create music in collaboration with distinguished guests: Zazula Vocal Group, Bartosz Pałyga, and CZELUSC Collective. The effect will be more than worth the wait!”
BLACKTAIL is a first-person game that shows the origins of the Baba Yaga, a witch figure of Slavic mythology. The story follows a young woman cast out of her village for being a witch and now guided by a dark voice and taking up a bow, she will venture into the woods and pick her destiny may it be good or bad. BLACKTAIL will be coming out in winter for PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5.
