More Cast Announced For Tim Burton’s “Wednesday” Series

First announced back in February, Tim Burtons‘ upcoming live-action series that centers on Wednesday Addams is heading to Netflix. Simply titled “Wednesday,” the series will follow the daughter of Gomez and Morticia and is a “spooky coming-of-age” story.
 
Today, we’ve got more casting news for you. Jenna Ortega (The Babysitter: Killer Queen) will star as Wednesday with Luis Guzmán as Gomez and Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia. It’s now been revealed by Deadline that Thora Birch (Ghost World, “The Walking Dead”), Riki Lindhome (Knives Out, Another Period), Jamie McShane (Mank, Bloodline), Hunter Doohan (Your Honor, Truth Be Told), Moosa Mostafa (Nativity Rocks!, The Last Bus), Georgie Farmer (Treadstone, The Evermoor Chronicles),  Emma Myers (Girl in the Basement, Taste of Christmas), Naomi J. Ogawa (Skylin3s), Joy Sunday (Dear White People, The Beta Test) and Percy Hynes White (The Gifted, Pretty Hard Cases) have joined the cast.
 
 
Wednesday” is being described as “a sleuthing, supernaturally infused mystery charting Wednesday Addams’ years as a student at Nevermore Academy.”
 
In the series, “Wednesday’s attempts to master her emerging psychic ability, thwart a monstrous killing spree that has terrorized the local town, and solve the supernatural mystery that embroiled her parents 25 years ago — all while navigating her new and very tangled relationships.”
 
Alfred Gough and Miles Millar (“Smallville”) are writing the series and are serving as showrunners.
