In 1978, one film changed the face of cinema forever. Now, 43 years later, the brutal and notorious original film I Spit on Your Grave (aka Day of the Woman) is back and is still refusing to be buried!

In the new limited edition 4K UHD 3 disc set, you can re-experience the phenomenon that shocked and divided the world – and influenced an entire genre and generation of filmmakers – in an Ultra High Definition 4K HDR remaster done by Ronin Flix on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray.  The Blu-ray also features the restoration of director Meir Zarchi’s uncut 35mm original camera negative and restored original mono soundtrack on Blu-ray, with a bonus Blu-ray including the feature-length documentary Growing up with I Spit on Your Grave (2019) and all of the historical Ronin Flix special features. This 4K Ultra HD set belongs in every cinephiles collection.

Originally coined by Roger Ebert as “a movie so sick, reprehensible and contemptible that I can hardly believe it’s playing in respectable theaters” and branded a ‘video nasty’ in the United Kingdom, I Spit on Your Grave (aka Day of the Woman) rose to cult status in the early ’80s and remains a quintessential part of the revenge film canon to this day and went on to spawn four sequels in 2010, 2013, 2015, and 2019.

In the controversial film, starring Camille Keaton, an aspiring writer is repeatedly gang-raped, humiliated, and left for dead by four men whom she systematically hunts down to seek revenge.

Director Meir Zarchi sums it up this way: “When Siskel and Ebert tried to discourage moviegoers from seeing the film, they actually helped make it famous and fortunately the public accepted it. Even the folks who didn’t like it contributed to its life span. It’s forging ahead and will live well beyond my years.”

Following last year’s critically acclaimed release of the I Spit on Your Grave Collector’s Edition Blu-ray Box Set, Ronin Flix has partnered with the filmmakers to once again make history with the first-ever 4K Ultra High Definition release of the film which will be available for pre-order exclusively at  www.roninflix.com  on September 9, 2021. Everyone who purchases the new 4K UHD set before the release on October 26, 2021, will SAVE $15 off the regular price.
