Back in November, we reported that the title for M. Night Shyamalan‘s next genre film had been announced as Knock at the Cabin. Today, we have some casting news. Wrestler turned actor Dave Bautista is set to star in the film, which Shyamalan will both write and direct, Deadline reports.
Bautista has been in a ton films recently, including Dune and Netflix’s Army of the Dead (review). He will also star in the upcoming Knives Out 2 and is currently shooting Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
Shyamalan is producing along with Ashwin Rajan under the filmmaker’s Blinding Edge Pictures banner alongside Marc Bienstock and Steven Schneider.
Little else is known about Knock at the Cabin at this point, but the premiere date, February 3, 2023, has already been announced by Universal.
Shyamalan is also producing the upcoming film The Vanishing at Caddo Lake from the writing and directing duo of Logan George and Celine Held. The film stars “Teen Wolf” actor Dylan O’Brien and Eliza Scanlen who recently starred in Shyamalan’s Old which is now out on Blu-ray.
