New cast members continue to be announced for Universal’s upcoming monster movie Renfield, from director Chris McKay who also brought us The Tomorrow War.
Adrian Martinez is the last actor to sign on for the film that stars Nicolas Cage as Dracula and Nicolas Hoult as Renfield who has grown tired of being Dracula’s lackey over the centuries. Renfield finds a new lease on life when he falls for a traffic cop named Rebecca, played by Awkwafina. Martinez (The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, Focus) has been cast as Rebecca’s police partner, Chris, according to Deadline.
Renfield is directed by Chris McKay and is based on an original story from Robert Kirkman (The Walking Dead”). Ryan Ridley (“Rick and Morty”) penned the script. Filming is set to begin in early 2022 in New Orleans.
