Saint Maud, one of the most highly acclaimed genre films of late is now out on Blu-ray and Digital Combo, from Lionsgate.
The debut film from writer-director Rose Glass, Saint Maud is a dark tale and examination of religion, salvation, mortality, and the nursing profession. In the film, Maud (Morfydd Clark), a devout hospice nurse, becomes obsessed with saving the soul of her dying patient (Jennifer Ehle), however, Maud’s sinful past along with sinister forces threaten to derail her holy mission.
Lily Frazer (“Sex Education”), Lily Knight (“EastEnders”), Marcus Hutton (“Doctor Who”), Turough Convery (Rady Player One), and Rosie Sansom (“Call the Midwife”) co-star in this elegant film whose atmosphere is at all times dark and unnerving.
