Warner Bros. has officially announced that a follow-up to 2007’s I Am Legend is in the works with Will Smith returning to star alongside Black Panther actor Michael B. Jordan. Smith will reprise his role as brilliant scientist Robert Neville who survives the outbreak of a mutated virus that turns humans into blood-thirsty creatures.
Will Smith will also be producing along with Michael B. Jordan. Akiva Goldsman, who co-wrote the original, is writing the sequel’s script. The film’s director has yet to be named as have other cast members, but we will keep you posted. In the meantime, here’s a look back at the trailer for I Am Legend, directed by Francis Lawrence.
