Michiel Huisman (“The Haunting of Hill House”), Cary Elwes (Saw), Corey Stoll (“The Strain”), and Alfonso Herrera (“The Exorcist”) have all joined the cast of Zack Snyder‘s upcoming film Rebel Moon, THR reports.
The actors join the previously announced cast members Charlie Hunnam (S.O.A.), Djimon Hounsou (Guardians of the Galaxy), Sofia Boutella (The Kingsman), Doona Bae, Ray Fisher, Rupert Friend, Jena Malone, Staz Nair, E. Duffy, Stuart Martin, Sky Yang, and Charlotte Maggi.
In the sci-fi thriller, “A peaceful colony on the edge of the galaxy is threatened by the armies of a tyrannical regent named Belisarius. Desperate people dispatch a young woman with a mysterious past to seek out warriors from neighboring planets to help them make a stand.”
Snyder is not only directing but co-wrote the script along with Shay Hatten (Army of the Dead) and Kurt Johnstad (300).
“This is me growing up as an Akira Kurosawa fan, a Star Wars fan,” Zack Snyder recently told The Hollywood Reporter. “It’s my love of sci-fi and a giant adventure. My hope is that this also becomes a massive IP and a universe that can be built out.”
