Netflix’s upcoming live-action series “Wednesday”, from director Tim Burton, has now wrapped filming, meaning that it is one step closer to being released.
The series sees the “Addams Family” star, Christina Ricci returns as a yet-to-be-named character. The actress’s iconic role of Wednesday will be played by Jenna Ortega (Scream) this time around. The Addams Family spin-off also stars Catherine Zeta-Jones and Luis Guzman in the roles of Morticia and Gomez. “Game of Thrones” actress Gwendoline Christie, who will play the role of “Larissa Weems,” the principal of Nevermore Academy, The cast also includes Joy Sunday, Emma Myers, Hunter Doohan, Moosa Mostafa, Georgie Farmer, Naomi J. Ogawa, Percy Hynes White, Jamie McShane, Thora Birch, and Riki Lindhome.
“Wednesday” is described as “a sleuthing, supernaturally infused mystery charting Wednesday Addams’ years as a student at Nevermore Academy. Wednesday’s attempts to master her emerging psychic ability, thwart a monstrous killing spree that has terrorized the local town, and solve the supernatural mystery that embroiled her parents 25 years ago — all while navigating her new and very tangled relationships.”
