The first images have surfaced from Netflix’s new upcoming horror series “Red Rose.” The series is from executive producers Michael and Paul Clarkson, the duo behind the streaming service’s “The Haunting of Bly Manor,” Apple TV’s “See,” and HBO’s “His Dark Materials.”
The teen-driven series, from the producers of Netflix’s hit series “Sex Education,” is set over a long hot summer following high school. A group of teens’ friendships is infiltrated by the Red Rose app, which blooms on their smartphones. It threatens dangerous consequences if they don’t meet its demands. The app exposes the group to a seemingly supernatural entity and the seductive power of the dark web.”
The cast includes Amelia Clarkson, Samuel Anderson, Adam Nagaitis, Natalie Gavin, Ashna Rabheru, Ali Khan, Ellis Howard, Natalie Blair, Harry Redding, Ruaridh Mollica, Hannah Griffiths, and Rod Hallett, among others.
The premiere date for the first eight-episode season of “Red Rose” will debut later this year.
