Even with the controversy of Will Smith bitch slapping Chris Rock at the Academy Awards, it seems his career isn’t over after all. Multiple sources are reporting that the I Am Legend sequel is officially a go.
Of course, you are probably wondering how this will happen since Smith’s character (spoiler) died in the first movie. Reports say the sequel will altogether bypass the ending and go with the alternative ending that saw Smith survive. The sequel will be set decades after the first film’s events and will be set again in New York.
Following the recent release of his film Creed III, Black Panther actor Michael B. Jordan will star opposite Smith in the film penned by Akiva Goldsman. Currently, the director and the rest of the cast are unlisted.
