A New York Times Critic’s Pick found footage cosmic horror hit The Outwaters will stream exclusively on SCREAMBOX and digital platforms today, Friday, February 17, via Cinedigm and Bloody Disgusting.
During its theatrical run, the film set off Apple Watch heart monitors, made viewers uncomfortably nauseous, and caused in-theater anxiety. And those at home with dogs who watched it say their pets went into a panic. Now fans can experience an assault on their senses from the comfort of home.
Currently rated 71% Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes, the film sees memory cards unearthed in a remote stretch of the Mojave Desert tell the story of four travelers who vanished during a sun-drenched camping trip. One night, everything changes when the foursome is sent on a mind-bending voyage of unrelenting terror into a world of darkness that no human was ever meant to see.
Robbie Banfitch, who sat down for an interview with us, serves as both writer and director for the film produced by Beau J. Genot and Banfitch, with Robert Abramoff serving as executive producer.
