Destry Allyn Spielberg – the daughter of legendary director Steven Spielberg – is set to make her feature directorial debut with Please Don’t Feed the Children.

Deadline reports that “Downtown Abbey” actress Michelle Dockery (“Downton Abbey”) is set to star in the upcoming horror film.

In the film, “after a viral outbreak ravaged the country’s adult population, a group of orphans heads south in search of a new life, only to find themselves at the mercy of a deranged woman harboring a dangerous secret.”

Written by Paul Bertino, Please Don’t Feed the Children is being described as an “elevated genre film,” which is being produced by Jason Dubin under his Perry Street Films banner. Josh Kesselman and Michael Hagerty are also producing.

Deadline quotes Destry Allyn Spielberg as saying, “I am so grateful to have the opportunity to bring this story to the screen with such a collaborative and inspirational team. This picture is so much more than just a horror film. It’s a dream come true to work with a talent such as Michelle Dockery. I am excited to the genre with our incredible cast and crew.”

Destry Allyn Spielberg already has several short films under her belt, including Let Me Go the Right Way and Rosie. She also starred in the films Mass Hysteria and I Know This Much Is True.
