Today, news has come that Universal is moving up Atomic Monster and Blumhouse’s Night Swim to an earlier date in January, THR reports.
Night Swim stars Wyatt Russell and Kerry Condon and is from writer-director Bryce McGuire.
While the plot details have yet to be revealed, we do know that the film is described as a supernatural thriller that involves a backyard swimming pool. The movie is based on the short film by McGuire and Rod Mlacjhurst.
Blumhouse and James Wan’s Atomic Monster, who last teamed up for M3GAN, are producing for Universal Pictures. Atomic Monster’s Michael Clear and Judson Scott and Blumhouse’s Ryan Turek are executive producers. Alayna Glasthal will oversee the film for Atomic Monster.
Original set to open in theaters in on January 19th, Night Swim will now make a splash on January 5, 2023.
