Writer-director Adam McKay (Don’t Look Up) is behind the upcoming serial killer film Average Height, Average Build starring Robert Downey Jr. and Robert Patterson, which will premiere on Netflix.
Deadline reports that “Pattinson will play a serial killer who enlists a lobbyist (Adams) to change laws that will allow him to get away with murder more easily. Downey’s role is a retired cop who won’t give up on the murders, and the killer tries to prevent him from dogging his trial now that he’s hung up his gun. The serial killer turns himself into a cause celebre, a Mr. Smith Goes to Washington figure shielding his true motives.”
This is not the first time McKay has worked with Netflix. His previous film, Don’t Look Up, debuted on the streaming service. The apocalyptic comedy stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence and took the title of Netfix’s second most popular film ever, with 360 million views in its first month.
Hopefully, the premiere date for Average Height, Average Build will be announced soon. We’ll keep you posted. In the meantime, check out Don’t Look Up.
