“The Walking Dead” is gearing up to take a bite out of the “Big Apple” with its latest spinoff, “The Walking Dead: Dead City,” and the first teaser trailer has arrived.
“Dead City” centers on Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) and Maggie (Lauren Cohan). In the original series’ most infamous scene, Negan brutally murdered Maggie’s husband, Glenn, but they have found a way to work together since Negan has become one of the good guys.
“Walking Dead: Dead City” sees Maggie and Negan traveling to a “post-apocalyptic Manhattan long ago cut off from the mainland. The crumbling city is filled with the dead and residents who have made New York City their own world full of anarchy, danger, beauty, and terror.”
The six-episode spinoff series is set two years after the main show’s finale. Eli Jorné (“The Walking Dead”) is serving as the spin-off’s showrunner.
“Walking Dead: Dead City” premieres on June 18, 2023, at 10 pm ET on AMC and AMC+.with new episodes airing at 9 pm on Sundays.
