A new trailer for one of the biggest films of the year, the true story-inspired thriller Killer of the Flower Moon, is here, teasing an intense, star-studded film.
Legendary filmmaker Martin Scorsese, behind films such as Goodfellas, Taxi Driver, Casino, The Wolf Of Wall Street, The Irishman, The Departed, Raging Bull, and Gangs Of New York, is back with Killers Of The Flower Moon, reuniting Robert De Niro and Leonardo DiCaprio.
The all-star cast includes Jesse Plemons (Antlers), Lily Gladstone (Certain Women, “Billions”), and Brendan Fraser (The Whale).
Set in 1920s Oklahoma, the Osage Nation were the richest people per capita in the world after oil was discovered under their land. And then they were murdered, one by one. As the death toll rose, the newly created FBI took up the case and unraveled a chilling conspiracy and one of the most monstrous crimes in American history.
Based on David Grann’s best-selling book Killer of the Flower Moon: The Osage Murders and the Birth of the FBI. The book and film are based on the true tragic Osage Indian murders in Oklahoma between 1910 and 1930. More than sixty wealthy Osage Native Americans lost their lives. The motive was greed over mineral rights. The murders ended after William K. Hale, a rich man who referred to himself as “King of the Osage Hills,” was arrested. Eric Roth penned the film. Scorsese is producing alongside Imperative Entertainment’s Dan Friedkin and Bradley Thomas, Sikelia Productions’ Emma Tillinger Koskoff, and DiCaprio’s Appian Way Productions.
Killers Of The Flower Moon will open in select theaters on October 6, 2023, before its wide release on October 20, 2023, before streaming globally on Apple TV+.
