Hot off its film festival tour, bringing down the house in Brazil, Canada, and Slovenia, we’ve got the trailer for the blood-drenched, sexy, scandalous, soon-to-be-infamous indie horror-comedy Bloody Bridget.
Directed by Richard Elfman, Bloody Bridget features original music by Ego Plum and Danny Elfman.
In the music-driven film, A Haitian voodoo deity, Baron Samedi (Jean Charles) transforms a burlesque dancer (Anastasia Elfman) into a “Valentine Vampire” after he comes to believe that she is the reincarnation of his beloved, “Brigid,” the Celtic goddess of Irish mythology, adopted in Haiti as their goddess of death.
The cast also includes Denise Milfort, Rick Howland, Marcos Mateo Ochoa, and Evan Eckenrode.
Bloody Bridget is making its US premiere on August 16, 2023, at the Popcorn Frights Film Festival in Florida. Sink your teeth into the trailer below, but beware, and be warned, it’s wild!
