You may have thought your Thanksgiving was a nightmare between family drama and the brutal Black Friday shopping trips, but you haven’t seen anything yet. The upcoming horror movie, simply titled Thanksgiving, takes a stab at the holiday in true horror fashion in the brutal new trailer.

From director Eli Roth, known for bloody horror movies such as Hostile and Cabin Fever, comes the movie starring Rick Hoffman, Gina Gershon, Patrick Dempsey, Milo Manheim, Addison Rae, and Nell Verlaque, just to name a few.

In the fright-filled flick, “After a Black Friday riot ends in tragedy, a mysterious Thanksgiving-inspired killer terrorizes Plymouth, Massachusetts – the birthplace of the infamous holiday.”

Thanksgiving is based on the faux trailer featured in Roth, Quentin Tarantino, and Robert Rodriguez’s 2007 horror Grindhouse. In the original trailer, Roth stars while a mysterious killer stalks a small town in Massachusetts on the holiday.

Roth and Jeff Rendell co-wrote the movie. Roth also serves as a producer alongside Roger Birnbaum.

Thanksgiving slashes its way into theaters just in time for Turkey Day on November 17, 2023, from Sony Pictures.
