When people hit play and settle in to watch a movie, they rarely consider just what it takes to make it and the chaos that can go on behind the camera.
I recently sat down with producer Brett Tomberlin, known for his films like Winchester, to talk about his latest film, Haunting of the Queen Mary. I was floored to hear about the crazy things that happened with the film and its crew. I was even left wondering if the production was haunted or cursed. Tomberlin also discusses the challenges of making Queen Mary on the actual ship, what went into making Winchester, and much more.
It’s crazy, right? It’s a miracle that Haunting of the Queen Mary ever got made. Cursed or not, we’re glad that it did.
Haunting of the Queen Mary explores the mysterious and violent events surrounding one family’s voyage on Halloween night,1938, and their interwoven destiny with another family onboard the infamous ocean liner present day.
Written and directed by Micheal and Peter Spierig, Winchester follows the story of firearm heiress Sarah Winchester, played by Oscar-winning actress Helen Mirren. Sarah was convinced that she was haunted by the souls killed at the hands of the Winchester Repeating Rifle.
Watch Haunting of Queen Mary now on VOD and Digital. If you missed Winchester, I highly recommend checking it out. You can watch it now on VOD and Digital or AppleTV.
