Back in 2022 the final film, Halloween Ends, of David Gordon Green’s Halloween trilogy was unleashed along with the statement that it would be the final Michael Myers movie, but that may not be true after all.

Miramax is now shopping the franchise, according to Bloody Disgusting. The rights to the franchise are up for sale and it has triggered a bidding war between multiple production companies who want to resurrect the franchise for either a new movie or a new TV series.

A TV series based on your favorite horror movies is not unheard of, with franchises such as Scream, The Exorcist, and Friday the 13th coming to the small screen.

The likelihood of franchise star and scream queen Jamie Lee Curtis returning for a new installment is next to zero. She made it clear that Halloween Ends would be the end for her. But who knows, the right project might be enough to change her mind.

Now, it’s just a waiting game to see who snags the rights and for the next Halloween project to be announced. We’ll be keeping an ear out and will update you when we know more. In the meantime, you can watch Green’s Halloween trilogy now on Prime Video. You can also get your collection now on Blu-ray and DVD.
