This November, the true story-inspired horror film Squealer will slash its way onto Digital and Demand. Inspired by the real-life serial killer Robert Pickton, this brutal and bloody film centers on a police officer and a street-smart social worker following clues to a remote pig farm, where they discover the local butcher has been bringing his work home and pork isn’t the only thing on the menu.
The film stars Tyrese Gibson, Wes Chatham, Kate Moennig, Ronnie Gene Bevans, and Danielle Burgio, who not only stars but also wrote the film along with director Andy Armstrong.
Director Andy Armstrong has had an amazing career in the stunt industry, including being a stunt coordinator and working on films like The Amazing Spider-Man, Thor, Lephrecan, and Total Recall. He is now making his feature film directorial debut.
As for Danielle Burgio, she began her career as a dancer before becoming an actress, writer, and producer. She has appeared in movies like The Amazing Spider-Man, The Matrix, Army of the Dead, and the series “Fear the Walking Dead” and is now making her writing debut with Squealer.
Burgio, Armstrong, and I sat down for an interview to discuss the film, its story, cast, and how it came to be. Watch the interview below and see Squealer on Digital or On Demand on November 3, 2023.
