Writer-director Mick Davis known for his critically acclaimed film Modigliani, starring Andy Garcia, is back (not that he ever left) with the horror-thriller Walden. And we got the chance to pick his brain in our interview.

The film centers on “Walden Dean, a stenographer whose mind witnessed all types of injustices in the courtroom. After discovering he has a terminal illness, repressed anger deep within him surfaces – taking justice into his own hands in the most gruesome ways imaginable.”

The all-star cast of Walden includes Emile Hirsch (Into the Wild), Shane West (“Salem”), Kelli Garner (The Aviator), Tania Raymonde (“Lost”), and David Keith (The Thing).

There’s nothing like hearing the thoughts and reasoning behind a film, learning how the story was born, the challenges of filming, and behind the scenes facts that will surprise you. Mick Davis not only takes us behind he camera of Walden, but talks about his many other films as well, including those you will see next year. It was an honor to interview Davis and his lovely Scottish brogue made listening to his tales a pleasure.

Be sure to see Walden in theaters on November 10, 2023, followed by its premiere on Digital and On Demand on December 12th from Uncork’d Entertainment.
