Following its acclaimed festival run and taking home the Grand Jury Award at this year’s SXSW festival, writer-director Paris Zarcilla’s feature film debut, Raging Grace, is coming to select theaters this Friday.
The film centers on “Joy, an undocumented Filipino immigrant struggling to do her best for her daughter when she secures the perfect job: taking care of an extremely wealthy but terminal old man. The new position pays well and guarantees a roof over their heads. But very soon, Joy and her daughter Grace realize everything is not as it seems. Something is festering beneath the surface, threatening all they have worked for.”
Starring Max Eigenmann, Jaeden Paige Boadilla, Leanne Best, and David Hayman, the film, written and directed by Zarcilla, is produced by Chi Thai (The Promise).
Raging Grace, an eerie gothic tale of class divides, desperation, and family, is a “must-see,” which opens in select theaters on December 1, 2023, followed by its debut On Demand on December 8.
