Ombins 2: Alien Awakening, the sci-fi horror sequel to 2013’s original 1950s-style alien invasion film, is heading your way from director Adam Steigert. And we’ve got the exclusive first look.
The original film is set in a village whose glory days were long past. It begins to infect the townsfolk, making them host to an alien plague known as Ombis. The virus is not the only thing that has invaded this small community. A creature known only as the “Nemesis” (Sean Sanders) has arrived with an alternative agenda. Now, the sequel continues the story, revealing that the invasion isn’t over and there is something waking.
Alien Awakening is from co-producing partners Adam Steigert and Kristen Steigert and is executive produced by Christopher Burns Jr. Jason John Beebe-Mark, Alexander S. McBryde- Mr. Gray, and Sara (Manzella) Luongo are set to return as Lucy Greenheart. Paige Cummings (Haley Greenheart Gregory Blair, and Danielle Smith as
Mrs. Caine.
Jason recently spoke on the red carpet for his upcoming release, Heartbreak Falls. He had this to say about
returning to the iconic role of Mark from the original film that left us on a cliffhanger.
“Wearing the Mark jacket and having it presented to me after wrapping was symbolic in a way. It was my first lead in a feature and validation that I did a good job. I never thought I'd be wearing it again to reprise the same role over 10 years later. But I’m ready to suit up!”
