Saw X slashed its way to critical acclaim, scoring the strongest reviews in the franchise’s history with a fresh 80% on Rotten Tomatoes. This triumphant return overshadows its predecessor, Spiral, which stumbled with a 37% score despite boasting stars like Chris Rock and Samuel L. Jackson.

With Saw XI officially confirmed for next year, producers Mark Burg and Oren Koules are turning their attention to Jigsaw’s next twisted game. While a Spiral sequel remains possible, Saw X‘s success takes priority. “Maybe one day,” Burg teases, “but our focus is Saw 11.”

Rock, who graced Spiral with his comedic charisma, remains open to revisiting Detective Ezekiel Banks. “We’re talking,” he reveals, “and if this one does well, I could see myself doing this again.” However, both parties prioritize Saw XIs success before exploring further adventures.

Tobin Bell‘s iconic Jigsaw returned to haunt Saw X, much to the delight of fans. Director Darren Lynn Bousman previously admitted contemplating Bell’s inclusion up until the very last minute. “[Bringing Jigsaw back] was a hard thing,” he shares, “because it becomes ‘Saw 9.’ I killed him off 16 years ago!” Bousman acknowledges Bell’s irreplaceable presence and chooses to focus on establishing a fresh direction for the franchise.

So, will there be more Spiral, or will Chris Rock join Tobin Bell in Saw XI‘s deadly playground in September of 2024? We’ll have to wait and see. Let us know your thoughts in the comments!
