Get ready to plunge into the dark waters of suspense with the new featurette for Night Swim, the upcoming supernatural thriller from Atomic Monster and Blumhouse. Brace yourself for a story where a family’s idyllic poolside escape takes a terrifying turn as they are dragged into the depths of possession by a malevolent force lurking beneath the surface.

Wyatt Russell (“Monarch”) stars as Ray Waller, a former baseball star battling a career-ending illness. Seeking solace and a fresh start, he relocates his family to a new home boasting a  swimming pool. What initially promises fun for Ray and his wife Eve (Kerry Condon, The Banshees of Inisherin) soon becomes a sinister nightmare.

The featurette, aptly titled “Pool Party Possession,” offers a glimpse into the chilling atmosphere of Night Swim. Watch as the video hints at the secrets buried within the seemingly perfect home and missed the previous featurette? You can watch it here.

Director Bryce McGuire, who also wrote the original short film, teases the dark entity plaguing the family: “Something ancient rises from the depths, not just to haunt them, but to take over.”

Russell describes the film as “a terrifying and claustrophobic experience.” At the same time, Condon emphasizes the emotional undercurrent: “It’s not just about a haunted pool; it’s about a family struggling with loss and trying to hold onto each other.”

Produced by horror heavyweights James Wan and Jason Blum, Night Swim promises to be a gripping blend of chills and family drama. The featurette is just a taste of the terror that awaits when the film splashes into theaters on January 5, 2024—leaving you breathless and shivering long after the credits roll.
