Calling all horror-comedy fans and wrestling enthusiasts! Brace yourselves for a blast from the past as the gory, grin-inducing throwdown Here for Blood invades select theaters, digital platforms, and the SCREAMBOX streaming service on February 9, 2024.

This hilarious throwback to the VHS-wielding days of the ’80s and ’90s follows a cash-strapped pro wrestler forced to babysit a precocious 10-year-old. What starts as a pizza-and-video-game extravaganza takes a wild left turn into bloody mayhem when their secluded home is besieged by a masked-up cult with serious homicidal tendencies.

Get ready for body slams, bone-crunching action, and an outrageous dose of humor as Shawn Roberts (Resident Evil series) tackles the role of the beleaguered babysitter. Adding even more iconic flavor to the mix, Twisted Sister frontman Dee Snider lends his legendary voice to a decapitated skull! The star-studded cast also includes Maya Misaljevic (The Boys), Joelle Farrow, Tara Spencer-Nairn, and Michael Therriault (Chucky).

From Festival Darling to Crowd-Pleaser:

Here for Blood‘s brutal charm has already won over audiences and critics alike. It delivered a knockout punch on the festival circuit, racking up six awards at its Toronto After Dark premiere, including the coveted “Best Film to Watch with a Crowd.” The accolades kept rolling in with screenings at FrightFest (Glasgow and London), IFI Horrorthon (Ireland), and Ramaskrik (Norway).

Critics can’t stop raving about its infectious energy and genre-bending thrills. Brad Miska of Bloody Disgusting/Cineverse adds, “Here for Blood is the kind of movie weekends were made for, whether you want to see it on the big screen or in the comfort of your own home. Step into the shadows of nostalgia with effects so practically perfect that fans of ’90s horror will think they’ve died and gone to Blockbuster.”

Here for Blood, which currently has an 88% Rotten Tomatoes score, joins a roster of cult classics on SCREAMBOX, including Onyx the Fortuitous and the Talisman of Souls, The Outwaters, and Terrifier 2.

So crank up the volume, grab your popcorn (and maybe a defibrillator for the faint of heart), and prepare to scream bloody murder when Here for Blood arrives on February 9.
