Get ready for some bloodthirsty thrills and intense chills as Universal prepares to unleash the horror movie Abigail, a chilling new reimagining of classic lore, arriving in theaters this April. From the filmmaking team behind horror hits like Ready or Not and the recent Scream revival, Radio Silence has a modern twist on a dark legend.

From Dracula’s Daughter Abigail:

Originally titled Dracula’s Daughter, Abigail throws off the cape and embraces a fresh identity. The film boasts a cryptic new synopsis that hints at a sinister twist on the classic vampire tale: “Children can be such monsters.” What horrifying secrets lurk within the 12-year-old ballerina at the heart of this twisted ransom plot?

A Feast for the Senses:

Dive into a chilling atmosphere with the unveiling of the trailer and poster for Abigail. Witness the mounting horror as a group of kidnappers find themselves trapped in a mansion with a far more deadly threat than they ever imagined. The trailer promises a blend of suspense, thrills, and perhaps even a dash of unexpected humor, true to Radio Silence’s signature style.

A Star-Studded Cast:

The Abigail movie, which we first reported on last year, assembles a powerhouse cast led by Melissa Barrera (Scream), Dan Stevens (The Guest), Kathryn Newton (Freaky), and William Catlett (Black Lightning). Giancarlo Esposito (Breaking Bad) adds star power to the mix, alongside Alisha Weir (Roald Dahl’s Matilda the Musical) as the enigmatic Abigail.

It’s good to know that Radio Silence doesn’t hold grudges, seeing that Barrera was fired a couple of months ago from their upcoming sequel, Scream 7, which also lost its director, Christopher Landon.

The Premiere:

Abagail will sink its teeth into theaters nationwide on April 19th, 2024. Check out the new chilling and blood-drenched trailer below that teases a fright-filled flick with a child as the real monster.
