Soon, a love story unlike any other, where death is just the beginning, is coming to theaters! Lisa Frankenstein, a horror-comedy at the top of our 2024 “must-see” list, is a fresh spin on Mary Shelley’s classic. It sees a teenage girl falling head-over-heels for the most unconventional crush – a handsome, reanimated Victorian corpse. Watch the new extended trailer below ahead of its February premiere.
Diablo Cody is the twisted mind behind the movie with a serious 80s vibe. Actress Zelda Williams is making her feature film directorial debut, promising a hilarious and heartwarming twist on the traditional Frankenstein narrative.
In this fun flick, Lisa, the ultimate misunderstood high schooler, stumbles upon an unusual solution to her love life – reanimating the perfect boyfriend from beyond the grave. It features a playful blend of morbid humor, teenage angst, and a dash of the macabre.
Expect gore and giggles in equal measure, as hinted by the film’s PG-13 rating for “violent content” and “bloody images.” The official synopsis teases a “coming-of-rage love story” involving a “murderous journey to find love, happiness… and a few missing body parts along the way.”
In addition to Freaky actress Katheryn Newton and “Riverdale” actor Cole Sprouse, the film stars Carla Gugino, Liza Soberano, Joe Chrest, and Henry Eikenberry.
Mark your calendars. Lisa Frankenstein opens in theaters on February 9th. Don’t get caught dead without your tickets! Get them now!
