Prepare for a chills-down-your-spine experience as writer-director Stephen Sander, making his feature debut, unleashes his chilling indie horror film Observer in partnership with Terror Films, promising a terrifying journey that transcends the physical realm.
Observer tells the harrowing tale of a young woman and her younger brother who find themselves thrust into a nightmare beyond their wildest fears, which plays out against a stunning backdrop. Kidnapped by human traffickers and imprisoned in a secluded mansion, their fight for survival takes a supernatural turn, blurring the lines between reality and the unknown.
Jennifer Chalamov and A.J. Popoff (Markings of Murder) lead the cast as the siblings and are joined by Marika Gosick and Kenzie Rigel. Sander, who also serves as producer, reflects on the long journey of bringing his vision to life:
“I started writing Observer way back in 2015 and it’s hard to believe that 9 years later, it’s being
released. I used to think of story ideas on long drives to/from work as a hobby more than anything. In
truth, I wrote a script I never expected to shoot, but to my surprise some people liked the script. Then in
2019 we start filming, covid breaks, and I embark on what would become a multi-year post production
slog. The end result is one I hope you don’t regret watching. I want to thank the incredible cast and
crew. If not for them, this film would never have been made.”
Brace yourself for a story that blends human horrors with chilling supernatural elements. Witness the premiere on the Official TFR YouTube AVOD Channel on March 8th at 7 pm PST, where fans can chat live with the filmmaker and cast. The film then makes its wider digital release on March 22nd. Don’t miss the official trailer and poster, guaranteed to raise your pulse.
