A lot of Netflix subscribers are about to be really pissed off. The reason? In July, the Netflix app will no longer reportedly be available on over sixty different types of TVs, including 42 models by Sony. The reason? Reports say it is due to performance needs and limited software capabilities. I know it’s ridiculous, but it is what it is.
Don’t know how to check to see if you’re on the list? We’ve got you covered. The model number should be listed on the backside of your TV. If not, press 123654 on your remote while the TV is on, and the model number will be listed on the first line.
Check the list and see if you’re one of the unlucky people.

If you are on the list, you can still watch from your other devices and cast it to your TV using a Chromecast device or the mirror feature on your phone, but don’t be shocked if you have delays or buffering issues. In other words, if you are a Netflix fan, it’s time to get a new TV. The good news is TVs have become a lot cheaper. For example, you can purchase a 58″ for around $250 at Wal-Mart, and they deliver.
Will you be affected? Will you get a new TV to watch Netflix, or will you say goodbye to the service forever? Let us know in the comments.
