Dark Sky Films has just shared the trailer for the film The Blue Rose. It is a mind-bending genre-bender that will be released in select theaters and digital platforms this July.
Set in the heart of the 1950s, The Blue Rose blends horror and noir to create a genuinely unsettling cinematic experience. The film follows two rookie detectives on what appears to be a straightforward homicide investigation. However, as they delve into the case, it becomes a nightmare, plunging them into a terrifying alternate reality.
The film marks actor George Baron‘s directing debut. It boasts a talented cast, including Baron and Olivia Scott Welch (“Fear Street: Part One 1994”). It also features veteran actor Ray Wise, who starred in over 250 movies, such as RoboCop and Swamp Thing (1982) and, more recently, the series “The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.” Danielle Bisutti, Nikko Austen Smith, Glume Harlow, Jordyn Denning, Evee Bui, Sophie Cooper, and Logan Miller round out the cast.
