New England’s Geno McGahee, the mastermind behind the popular Scary Tales horror franchise, has unleashed a chilling new series. The series is available on Tubi, the streaming service renowned for its massive library of free streaming horror.

Inspired by classic horror anthologies like “Tales from the Darkside” and “Tales from the Crypt,” McGahee brings his terrifying visions to a new format. The success of his Scary Tales films, including the 2008 original, Last Stop, Dead Zone, and the upcoming Dark Walker, has paved the way for the new series. There’s more good news for fans of the franchise: the second season is already in development.

This eight-episode anthology series stays true to the franchise’s legacy, offering a chilling and suspenseful binge-watching experience. Produced by Xposse Productions and distributed by Cinema Epoch and Cineridge Entertainment, the series boasts a talented team led by producer Geno McGahee alongside Gregory Hatanaka, Rick Caride, and Matt Hebert. Horror fans can expect the series to roll out on additional platforms this fall.

In related news, McGahee’s collaborator, writer-director Gregory Hatanaka, is stirring up anticipation with his upcoming film A Man is Dead. This action-packed story follows a character driven to his breaking point by relentless criminals. Drawing inspiration from classic vigilante films like Death Wish, the film promises a thrilling exploration of justice and revenge. The cast includes Warren Hong, Lisa London, and Joycelyne Lew.
