Yellow Veil Pictures has announced the world premiere of The Dead Thing, which will premiere at the Fantasia International Film Festival this July. This film by director Elric Kane delves into the dark underbelly of modern love and the dangerous allure of online connections.
This psychological thriller has a supernatural twist. It centers on Alex (Hunt), who is trapped in a downward spiral of shallow hookups. She is caught off guard when her dating app leads her into the arms of a mysterious, charming young man. Despite their passionate night, the mystery man is nowhere to be found when the sun rises. Alex sets out to find the man who made her feel alive. She reconnects with him during her investigation but digs up a ghastly supernatural secret. The pair quickly descend into a whirlwind of obsession, dependence, lust, and infatuation that has grave consequences.
