Terror Films Releasing has just announced the release of writer/director Dean Jacobs‘ low-budget horror film, The Trip, a terrifying tale of friendship, farmhouse frights, and mind-altering substances.
When four childhood friends reunite for a weekend getaway at a secluded Pennsylvania farmhouse, they expect relaxation and revelry. But their idyllic retreat quickly turns into a nightmare as sinister forces lurking within the house make their presence known.
Starring Luke Edwards, Evan Sloan, Calvin Dittmore, and director Dean Jacobs himself, The Trip delivers a potent blend of slasher and haunted house elements with a psychedelic twist. The film boasts an impressive supporting cast, including horror icons Doug Bradley (Hellraiser), Hannah Fierman (V/H/S), Lori Cardille (Day of the Dead), and John Amplas (Dawn of the Dead, Day of the Dead, Creepshow).
“The horror genre is a playground without limits,” says director Dean Jacobs. “I wanted to create a film that pays homage to the classic indie horror films that inspired me while offering a fresh and terrifying experience for audiences.”
